Cosmo and Drinks

As we approach the end of term, what better way to celebrate than to stuff ourselves with all you can eat chinese, Indian and Thai food.

For this reason we'll be having a social at cosmo next Wednesday (16th) at 19:30.

For those of you who haven't been there, the food is amazing, with food from loads of countries, tepanyaki, grills and a chocolate fountain.

The address is http://www.cosmo-restaurants.co.uk/find.php?rst_id=4

I'm sure a post will go up about getting buses from campus or Leamington.

Afterwards we'll be going for drinks either in Coventry or on campus.

We need to book a table, so if you want to go please sign up on the website before Monday lunchtime.

Hello all, This week we can gather for some pre-Dartmoor drunkenness, with this weekÔÇÖs social being Canoe Club Cocktails! This will be held Thursday 10th March (venue tbc) but it will be at someoneÔÇÖs house in Leam. The cost will be ┬ú5, which is a bargain considering there will be a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails available... or to quote a certain Greg Corbett, ÔÇÿ┬ú5 for all the alcohol you can drink!!ÔÇÖ Hope you can all make it, Social secs, Alice, Einstein and Cloughy

BUCS Ref's Course and Cardiff Party

Posted 14y 9mth ago by Some Old Git

Couple of things... there is a theme for the party at Cardiff. It is Sports Teams. The party is normally awesome, so get your thinking caps on and shout if you've got any decent ideas. There has already been a Cool Runnings based suggestion...
Ref's course... As I said in my last email, there will be a Ref's course on the Friday before BUCS. I have negotiated with Warwick Sport, and they have agreed to pay the whole cost! Warwick Sport will fund up to 10 places for people who are here next (academic) year. The 10 places were based on approximately 3 from each of next years teams. Freshers/2nd years I'm looking at you!

DRIVING YOUR OWN CAR FOR THE CLUB

If you drive your OWN CAR for the club, you MUST fill out and hand in a Private Vehicle Registration Form. (attached in the email IÔÇÖve sent or available from the Warwick Sport office) This is to ensure you can claim petrol back correctly. It also includes wear and tear, etc. These forms stay on file with Warwick Sport so you only need to do it once. If we try to claim petrol for someone not registered, the finance office may refuse to pay out. So, please do this!!! Thanks, Harriet

BUCS Canoe Polo

It's what we've been training for. BUCS!
What? BUCS!
When? 15th-17th April (The email was wrong.)
How Much? Free
Who? Well... the captains, coach and exec pick the teams. BUT, signup if you want to and available to play.
How do I signup? Go to the website, and either signup in the A/B signup or the Ladies signup. If you get the wrong signup, you're not coming! You must signup ASAP. Ideally, by tomorrow evening, or by the end of the week with a good excuse. We need to submit teams, and the B/Old Gits leagues are first come first served.
Why is the signup sooooo early? We all want to go to BUCS, so we might as well commit to it now! Also, we need to enter this week!
There is also a Ref's course running on the Friday, so there's a signup for that too. Signup if you want to go, not sure how many places we'll get yet. It will cost you approximately £20.

REAL AAAALE!!!

This week sees not only the biggest social of the canoe club year, but also the best night of the year in the union.

On Thursday we'll be going to see Dr Busker  at the Real Ale festival in the union. For those of you who haven't heard such Busker greats as Drunk and Disorderly, any drink will do and panda wanker, here's an example of what's to come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xalUyAcCzVo

don't worry if you're not a beer drinker, as well as over 100 ales, they also have ciders, mead and fruit wines.

The event starts at 6pm and will cost £3, sadly tickets are only available on the door.

There is also a 9 pint cask for the best pirate costume, so find those eye patches and longjohns and prepare for a brilliant night of drunken debauchery.

See you Thursday
